Front Bumper Removal/Installation

  1. Affix the protective tape to the position shown in the figure to prevent scratches and damage.

  2. Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION ).
  3. Remove the seal board upper. (See SEAL BOARD UPPER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
  4. Remove the fasteners.

  5. Pull the front over fender in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure and disengage the clips.

  6. Remove the bolt and fasteners.

  7. Remove the screws and fasteners.

  8. Slightly bend back the front under cover No. 1 and remove the fasteners.

  9. Remove the screws and fasteners.

  10. Pull the rear end of the front bumper in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure and detach the front bumper from the front bumper slider while removing the tabs.
    CAUTION:
    • Carefully remove the front bumper from the front bumper slider. If the front bumper is removed from the front bumper slider with excessive force, the front bumper hooks may be damaged because the front bumper and the front bumper slider are engaged firmly.
    • Detach the front bumper hooks from the front bumper slider using two people, one person supports the front bumper. If the front bumper hooks are detached from the front bumper without supporting the front bumper, it may fall off and be damaged.

  11. Pull the front bumper in the direction of the arrows shown in the figure and pull out the locator pin.

  12. Disconnect the connectors.
    WARNING:
    • After removing the front bumper, secure the front over fender and front mudguard with tape to prevent the front over fender from being damaged and to prevent injury.

  13. Install in the reverse order of removal.
  14. Perform the 360° view monitor system aiming. (with 360° view monitor system)
