GEAR POSITION INDICATION DOES NOT ILLUMINATE IN M POSITION (GW6A-EL, GW6AX-EL) DESCRIPTION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

TROUBLESHOOTING ITEM	Gear position indication does not illuminate in M position
Description	Gear position indication in instrument cluster does not illuminate in M position with the ignition switched ON (engine off or on).
POSSIBLE CAUSE	Instrument cluster malfunction NOTE: When the ATF temperature is 132 °C {270 °F} or more, gear fixing is inhibited, the gear position indication is turned off, and the control is changed to the automatic shift control.
