Liftgate Side Trim Removal/Installation

Remove the liftgate upper trim. (See LIFTGATE UPPER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
Remove the fastener.

Hold the shaded areas shown in the figure and detach the clips while moving the liftgate side trim in the direction of the arrow.

Hold the shaded areas shown in the figure and partially peel back the edge of the liftgate side trim in the direction of arrows (1) to detach the tabs, move the liftgate side trim in the direction of arrow (2) with the tabs detached and remove the liftgate side trim while detaching the hook.

Install in the reverse order of removal.
