DTC P117A:00 (PCM, SKYACTIV-G, US) DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

System malfunction location	Engine oil temperature is high
Detection condition	Any one of the following conditions is met: With an engine coolant temperature of 88.5 °C {191 °F} or more while in 5th gear or lower, an engine speed of 6, 100 rpm (SKYACTIV-G 2.0)/5, 800 rpm (SKYACTIV-G 2.5) or more continues for 6 min. The engine oil estimated temperature exceeds 140 °C {284 °F} while in 5th gear or lower. (SKYACTIV-G 2.5 (Mexico spec.)) The estimated engine oil temperature exceeds 140 °C {284 °F} continues for 6 min. (With active air shutter)
Fail-safe	Limits engine speed
Possible cause	High engine speed condition continues Active air shutter close malfunction (With active air shutter) PCM malfunction
