DTC P0850:00 (PCM, SKYACTIV-G, US) DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

System malfunction location	Neutral sensor input circuit problem
Detection condition	The PCM monitors changes in input voltage from the neutral sensor. If the PCM does not detect a voltage change while driving the vehicle at a vehicle speed above 30 km/h {19 mph} and the clutch pedal is pressed and released 10 times repeatedly, the PCM determines that the neutral sensor circuit has a malfunction.
Fail-safe	Not applicable
Possible cause	Neutral sensor connector or terminals malfunction PCM connector or terminals malfunction Short to ground in any of the following neutral sensor circuits. Power supply circuit Signal circuit Short to power supply in any of the following neutral sensor circuits. Signal circuit Ground circuit Open circuit in any of the following neutral sensor circuits.
