DTC P0460:00 (PCM, SKYACTIV-G) DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE - 2WD

System malfunction location	Fuel level sensor circuit malfunction
Detection condition	The PCM monitors the fuel tank level sensor output signal. If the difference between maximum and minimum value of input signal is 25 % or more for 14 s, the PCM determines that there is a fuel level sensor circuit malfunction. Precondition The following DTCs are not detected: Fuel gauge sender unit: P0462:00 and P0463:00
Fail-safe	Not applicable
Possible cause	Instrument cluster malfunction Incorrectly installed fuel gauge Fuel level input signal circuit malfunction Fuel gauge sender unit connector or terminals malfunction Electrical supply unit (ESU) connector or terminals malfunction Short to power supply in any of the following fuel gauge sender unit circuits. Signal circuit Ground circuit Short to ground in fuel gauge sender unit signal circuit Short circuit in fuel gauge sender unit signal circuit and ground circuit Open circuit in any of the following fuel gauge sender unit circuits. Signal circuit Ground circuit Fuel gauge sender unit malfunction PCM malfunction
