Cowl Side Woofer Removal/Installation (Us): Driver-side

  1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal and wait for 1 min or more. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION (US) .)
  2. Remove the following parts:
    1. Driver-side front scuff plate (See FRONT SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    2. Driver-side front side trim (See FRONT SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    3. Passenger-side decoration panel (See DECORATION PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    4. Driver-side decoration panel (See DECORATION PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    5. Driver-side lower panel (See LOWER PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION (US) .)
    6. Driver-side knee air bag module
    7. Driver-side air bag module
    8. Steering wheel (See STEERING WHEEL AND COLUMN REMOVAL/INSTALLATION (US) .)
    9. Upper column cover (See COLUMN COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    10. Lower column cover (See COLUMN COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    11. Clock spring
    12. Light switch (See LIGHT SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION (US) .)
    13. Wiper and washer switch (See WIPER AND WASHER SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION (US) .)
    14. Joint cover (See STEERING WHEEL AND COLUMN REMOVAL/INSTALLATION (US) .)
    15. Steering wheel and column (See STEERING WHEEL AND COLUMN REMOVAL/INSTALLATION (US) .)
  3. Disconnect the connector.

  4. Remove the wiring harness clips.
  5. Remove the bolt.

  6. Remove the nuts.
  7. Remove the cowl side woofer in the direction of the arrow shown in the illustration.
  8. Install in the reverse order of removal.
