If Bluetooth-enabled device is version 2.1 and later

  1. Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on).
  2. Select "Settings" from the home screen of the center display as shown in the illustration.
  3. Select the following on the center display.
    1. [Connectivity Settings]
    2. [Bluetooth]
    3. Bluetooth setting ON
    4. [Pair New Device]
  4. Verify that the device name (Mazda) and the 6-digit password are displayed on the center display and Bluetooth®-enabled device.
    NOTE:
    • When "Pair New Device" is selected, the connectivity master unit (CMU) searches for a Bluetooth®-enabled device. If the connectivity master unit (CMU) detects a Bluetooth®-enabled device, a 6-digit code is displayed in the center display.
  5. Verify that "Pairing complete Connection complete" is indicated in the center display.
