DTC P1708:29 (BCM) DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

Starter interlock switch circuit malfunction |
| Detection condition |
- The body control module (BCM) detects that the starter interlock switch is stuck on.

| Fail-safe |
- Change to the back-up mode.
- Perform the control with starter interlock switch turned off.
|
| Possible cause |
- DTCs are stored in the PCM.
- Clutch stroke sensor malfunction
- Starter interlock switch connector or terminal malfunction
- Starter interlock switch malfunction
- Body control module (BCM) connector or terminal malfunction
- Short to ground in starter interlock switch signal circuit
- Body control module (BCM) malfunction
