DTC P0830-23: Starter Interlock Switch Circuit Malfunction (BCM): Outline

DTC P0830:23 (BCM) DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

System malfunction location	Starter interlock switch circuit malfunction
Detection condition	The body control module (BCM) detects that the starter interlock switch is stuck on for 10 min or more.
Fail-safe	Change to the back-up mode. Perform the control with starter interlock switch turned off.
Possible cause	Starter interlock switch connector or terminal malfunction Starter interlock switch malfunction Body control module (BCM) connector or terminal malfunction Short to ground in starter interlock switch signal circuit Body control module (BCM) malfunction
