Diagnostic Procedure

DTC U3000:16 OR U3000:96 (ELECTRIC POWER STEERING (EPS)) DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE

Step Inspection Results Action
1 INSPECT EPS CONTROL MODULE FOR MALFUNCTION DEPENDING ON REPEATABILITY
  • Using the M-MDS, clear the DTC from the EPS control module. (See CLEARING DTC .)
  • Using the M-MDS, perform the EPS control module DTC inspection. (See DTC INSPECTION .)
  • Is the same Pending DTC present?
 Yes Replace the EPS control module, then perform the repair completion verification.

No Go to the next step.
Repair completion verification VERIFY NO DTC IS PRESENT
  • Are any DTCs present?
 Yes Go to applicable DTC inspection.
(See DTC TABLE (ELECTRIC POWER STEERING (EPS) (US)) .)
No DTC troubleshooting completed.
