DTC U2005:68 [SAS CONTROL MODULE] DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE

Step	Inspection	Results	Action
1	VERIFY SAS CONTROL MODULE DTCs AGAIN Clear SAS control module DTCs using the M-MDS. (See CLEARING DTC .) Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on) and wait for 8 s or more. Perform the SAS control module DTC inspection using the M-MDS. (See DTC INSPECTION .) Is the same Pending DTC present?	Yes	Go to the next step.
1		No	Perform the repair completion verification 2.
2	VERIFY PCM DTCs Perform the PCM DTC inspection using the M-MDS. (See DTC INSPECTION .) Is the DTC displayed?	Yes	Repair the malfunctioning part according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting. (See DTC TABLE [PCM (SKYACTIV-G (US))] .)
2		No	Go to the next step.
3	VERIFY BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) DTCs Perform the body control module (BCM) DTC inspection using the M-MDS. (See DTC INSPECTION .) Is the DTC displayed?	Yes	Repair the malfunctioning part according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting. (See DTC TABLE [BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) (US)] .)
3		No	Go to the next step.
4	PERFORM DTC INSPECTION AND VERIFY IF MALFUNCTIONING PART IS PCM Clear SAS control module DTCs using the M-MDS. (See CLEARING DTC .) Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on) and wait for 8 s or more. Perform the SAS control module DTC inspection using the M-MDS. (See DTC INSPECTION .) Is the same Pending DTC present?	Yes	Replace the PCM and perform the repair completion verification. (See PCM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G (VIN L) (US)] .) (See PCM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G (VIN M) (US) .)
4		No	Perform the repair completion verification 2.
Repair completion verification 1	VERIFY THAT REPAIRS HAVE BEEN COMPLETED Clear SAS control module DTCs using the M-MDS. (See CLEARING DTC .) Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on) and wait for 8 s or more. Perform the SAS control module DTC inspection using the M-MDS. (See DTC INSPECTION .) Is the same Pending DTC present?	Yes	Refer to the controller area network (CAN) malfunction diagnosis flow to inspect for a CAN communication error. (See CONTROLLER AREA NETWORK (CAN) MALFUNCTION DIAGNOSIS FLOW (US) .) If the CAN communication is normal, perform the diagnosis from Step 1. If the malfunction recurs, replace the SAS control module. Repair completion verification 1		No	Go to the next step.
Repair completion verification 2	VERIFY IF OTHER DTCs DISPLAYED Are any other DTCs displayed?	Yes	Repair the malfunctioning part according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting. (See DTC TABLE (AIRBAG) (US) .)
Repair completion verification 2		No	DTC troubleshooting completed.
