Diagnostic Procedure

DTC B00D5:29 (AIRBAG) (US) DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE

Step Inspection Results Action
1 PERFORM BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) DTC INSPECTION
  • Perform the body control module (BCM) DTC inspection using the M-MDS. (See DTC INSPECTION .)
  • Are any DTCs present?
Yes Perform the applicable DTC inspection.
(See DTC TABLE [BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) (US)] .)
No Go to the next step.
2 INSPECT INDICATOR UNIT CONNECTOR
Yes Replace the malfunctioning part and perform the repair completion verification.
No Go to the next step.
3 INSPECT INDICATOR UNIT
Yes Replace the indicator unit and perform the repair completion verification. (See INDICATOR UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
No Perform the repair completion verification.
Repair completion verification PERFORM SAS CONTROL MODULE DTC INSPECTION
Yes Refer to the controller area network (CAN) malfunction diagnosis flow to inspect for a CAN communication error.

If the CAN communication is normal, perform the diagnosis from Step 1.
No DTC troubleshooting completed.
