Tie-Rod End Replacement (Us): Removal

- Remove the wheel and tire. (See WHEEL AND TIRE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove the snap pin from the tie-rod end.
- Loosen the locknut of the tie-rod end.
- Detach the tie-rod end from the steering knuckle using the SST.
- Remove the locknut of the tie-rod end.
- Place alignment marks as shown in the illustration for reference in tie-rod end assembly.
- Remove the tie-rod end.
