DTC P0053-00: A/F Sensor Heater Resistance: Outline

DTC P0053:00 (PCM, SKYACTIV-G) DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

System malfunction location	A/F sensor heater resistance
Detection condition	When the PCM controls the A/F sensor heater, the A/F sensor element resistance input to the PCM is the specified value or more.
Fail-safe	Stops fuel feedback control
Possible cause	A/F sensor connector or terminals malfunction F8 15 A fuse malfunction Short to ground in A/F sensor heater power supply circuit Open circuit in A/F sensor heater power supply circuit A/F sensor heater malfunction PCM connector or terminals malfunction Open circuit in A/F sensor heater control circuit Short to ground in A/F sensor heater control circuit PCM malfunction
