DTC B11E9-11: Rear Door Latch Switch (LH) Circuit Malfunction (BCM): Outline

DTC B11E9:11 (BCM) DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

System malfunction location Rear door latch switch (LH) circuit malfunction
Detection condition
  • The electrical supply unit (ESU) detects a short to ground in the rear door latch switch (LH) circuit for a continuous 2 times.

Preconditions
  • The rear door (LH) closed (rear door latch switch (LH) off).
Fail-safe Not applicable
Possible cause
  • Rear door latch and lock actuator (LH) connector or terminal malfunction
  • Rear door latch switch (LH) malfunction
  • Electrical supply unit (ESU) connector or terminal malfunction
  • Short to ground in rear door latch switch (LH) signal circuit
  • Electrical supply unit (ESU) malfunction
  • Body control module (BCM) malfunction
