DTC B1178:11 (BCM) DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

- The electrical supply unit (ESU) detects a short to ground in the liftgate latch switch circuit for a continuous 2 times.
Preconditions
- The liftgate closed (liftgate latch switch off).

- Liftgate latch and lock actuator connector or terminal malfunction
- Liftgate latch switch malfunction
- Electrical supply unit (ESU) connector or terminal malfunction

- Body control module (BCM) malfunction
