- Engine coolant control valve actuator drive current exceeds the specification.

| Fail-safe |
- Restricts the upper limit of the engine speed.
- PCM restricts engine torque.

- Coolant control valve connector or terminals malfunction
- PCM connector or terminals malfunction
- Short to ground in coolant control valve control circuit
- Open circuit in coolant control valve control circuit
- Short circuit in coolant control valve control circuits
- Short to power supply in coolant control valve control circuit
- Coolant control valve malfunction
- PCM malfunction
