Windshield Wiper Blade Removal/Installation

  1. Move the windshield wipers to the service positions using the following procedure.
    1. Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on).
    2. Switch the ignition OFF.
    3. Push the windshield wiper switch up towards the MIST position 2 times within 30 s after the ignition is switched OFF.
  2. Raise the windshield wiper arm.
    CAUTION:
    • If the windshield wiper arm end is placed directly on the windshield after removing the windshield wiper blade, it could scratch the windshield. If the windshield wiper arm end is to be placed on the windshield, place it on a clean cloth to protect the windshield.

  3. While pressing the windshield wiper arm tab in the direction of arrow (1) shown in the illustration, move the windshield wiper blade in the direction of arrow (2) and remove the windshield wiper blade from the windshield wiper arm.

  4. Install in the reverse order of removal.
  5. Move the windshield wiper to the initial position using the following procedure.
    1. Slowly let down the windshield wiper arm onto the windshield.
    2. Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on).
    3. Push the windshield wiper switch up towards the MIST position 1 time.
