Cylinder Head Cover Removal Note

  1. Disconnect the ventilation hose from the cylinder head cover.

  2. Set the purge solenoid valve component aside using the following procedure:
    1. Remove the evaporative hose No. 1.

    2. Disconnect the evaporative hose No. 3 from the catch tank.

    3. Remove the bolts shown in the illustration.

    4. Remove the wiring harness clip shown in the illustration.

    5. Set the purge solenoid valve component aside.
  3. Remove the clips and set evaporative hose No. 3 aside.

  4. Disconnect the following parts connectors.

    1. OCV for hydraulic variable valve timing system
    2. OCV for No. 4 cylinder deactivation
    3. High pressure fuel pump
  5. Remove the wiring harness clips shown in the illustration.

  6. Remove the vacuum hose. (See VACUUM HOSE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  7. Remove the cylinder head cover.
