Dash-Electrical Supply Unit Inspection (Manual A/C) (Us): Notes

  1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal and wait for 1 min or more. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION (US) .)
  2. Remove the following parts:
    1. Glove compartment (See GLOVE COMPARTMENT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    2. Dashboard under cover (See DASHBOARD UNDER COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    3. Passenger-side front scuff plate (See FRONT SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    4. Passenger-side front side trim (See FRONT SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    5. Passenger-side decoration panel (See DECORATION PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    6. Passenger-side lower panel (See LOWER PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION (US) .)
    7. Passenger-side knee air bag module (with passenger-side knee air bag module) (See KNEE AIR BAG MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM - US/CANADA SPEC.] .)
  3. Connect the negative battery terminal.
  4. Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on).
  5. Connect the negative (-) lead of the tester to body ground.
  6. Insert the positive (+) lead of the tester into each dash-electrical supply unit terminal and measure the voltage according to the terminal voltage table.
    • If there is any malfunction, inspect the parts under "Inspection item(s)".
