Airflow Mode Actuator Installation (Manual A/C) (Us)

WARNING:

Handling the air bag module improperly can accidentally deploy the air bag module, which may seriously injure you. Install the airflow mode actuator to the bracket.

Install the screws.
Align the following airflow mode link tabs with the airflow mode main link grooves and install the airflow mode main link.
- Airflow mode link tab A and airflow mode main link groove A
- Airflow mode link tab B and airflow mode main link groove B
- Airflow mode link tab C and airflow mode main link groove C

Move the airflow mode main link in the direction shown in the illustration and verify that it rotates smoothly.

Align the airflow mode main link hole with the shape of the airflow mode actuator shaft, and install the airflow mode actuator.
NOTE:
- The airflow mode main link is not secured, therefore hold it with your hand so that it does not detach.

Install the screws.
Install the clip.

Connect the connector.
Install the following parts:
1. Air intake actuator (See AIR INTAKE ACTUATOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION (MANUAL A/C) (US) .)
2. Passenger-side knee air bag module (with passenger-side knee air bag module) (See KNEE AIR BAG MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM - US/CANADA SPEC.] .)
3. Passenger-side lower panel (See LOWER PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION (US) .)
4. Passenger-side decoration panel (See DECORATION PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
5. Passenger-side front side trim (See FRONT SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
6. Passenger-side front scuff plate (See FRONT SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
7. Dashboard under cover (See DASHBOARD UNDER COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
8. Glove compartment (without passenger-side knee air bag module) (See GLOVE COMPARTMENT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
Connect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION (US) .)
