Actuator inspection
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2020 Mazda CX-30. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
- Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION (US) .)
- Remove the air mix actuator. (See AIR MIX ACTUATOR REMOVAL (MANUAL A/C) (US) .) (See AIR MIX ACTUATOR INSTALLATION (MANUAL A/C) (US) .)
- Connector the air mix actuator connector.
- Connect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION (US) .)
- Connect the M-MDS to the DLC-2.
- Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on).
- Operate the air mix actuator using the simulation function [AIR_MIX_MODE_L] of the dash-electrical supply unit. (See SIMULATION INSPECTION .) (See SIMULATION TABLE [DASH-ELECTRICAL SUPPLY UNIT (US)] .)
- Verify that the air mix actuator operation condition is as shown in the illustration.CAUTION:
- If the lever position exceeds the operation range shown in the illustration, the circuit in the actuator could be damaged. Always perform an actuator operation inspection with the lever movement within the range shown in the illustration.
- If it does not operate as shown in the illustration, replace the air mix actuator. (See AIR MIX ACTUATOR REMOVAL (MANUAL A/C) (US) .) (See AIR MIX ACTUATOR INSTALLATION (MANUAL A/C) (US) .)
