DTC B1081:71 [DASH-ELECTRICAL SUPPLY UNIT] DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE

Step	Inspection	Results	Action
1	VERIFY OTHER DTCs RELATED TO AIR MIX ACTUATOR (LH) INTERNAL POTENTIOMETER CIRCUIT Perform the DTC inspection for the dash-electrical supply unit. (See DTC INSPECTION .) Are other DTCs related to the air mix actuator (LH) internal potentiometer circuit displayed?	Yes	Repair the malfunctioning location according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting. (See DTC TABLE [DASH-ELECTRICAL SUPPLY UNIT (US)] .)
1		No	Go to the next step.
2	INSPECT AIR MIX ACTUATOR (LH) FOR MALFUNCTION Perform the actuator inspection. (See AIR MIX ACTUATOR INSPECTION [MANUAL AIR CONDITIONER] .) (See AIR MIX ACTUATOR INSPECTION [FULL-AUTO AIR CONDITIONER] .) Is the part normal?	Yes	Go to the next step.
2		No	Repair or replace the malfunctioning location and perform the repair completion verification. (See AIR MIX ACTUATOR REMOVAL [FULL-AUTO AIR CONDITIONER (US)] .) (See AIR MIX ACTUATOR INSTALLATION [FULL-AUTO AIR CONDITIONER (US)] .)
3	INSPECT AIR MIX LINK (LH) OPERATION Operate the air mix link (LH) manually. Does the air mix link (LH) operate smoothly?	Yes	Go to the next step.
3		No	Repair or replace the malfunctioning location and perform the repair completion verification. (See A/C UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION (US) .) (See A/C UNIT DISASSEMBLY/ASSEMBLY (US) .)
Repair completion verification 1	VERIFY THAT VEHICLE IS REPAIRED Install/connect the part removed/disconnected during the troubleshooting procedure. Clear the DTC recorded in the memory. (See CLEARING DTC .) Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on) and wait for 8 s or more. Perform the DTC inspection for the dash-electrical supply unit. (See DTC INSPECTION .) Is the same Pending DTC present?	Yes	Refer to the controller area network (CAN) malfunction diagnosis flow to inspect for a CAN communication error. (See CONTROLLER AREA NETWORK (CAN) MALFUNCTION DIAGNOSIS FLOW (US) .) If the CAN communication is normal, perform the diagnosis from Step 1. If the malfunction recurs, replace the dash-electrical supply unit, then go to the next step. (See DASH-ELECTRICAL SUPPLY UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [FULL-AUTO AIR CONDITIONER (US)] .)
Repair completion verification 1		No	Go to the next step.
Repair completion verification 2	VERIFY IF OTHER DTCs DISPLAYED Perform the DTC inspection. (See DTC INSPECTION .) Are any DTCs displayed?	Yes	Repair the malfunctioning location according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting.
Repair completion verification 2		No	DTC troubleshooting completed.
