DTC U0198:00 (CONNECTIVITY MASTER UNIT) DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

- The connectivity master unit (CMU) detects a communication interruption or a communication error with telematics communication unit for approx. 30 s.

- Telematics communication unit connector or terminal malfunction
- Short to ground or open circuit in telematics communication unit power supply circuit
- Open circuit in telematics communication unit ground circuit
- Connectivity master unit (CMU) connector or terminal malfunction
- Short to power supply, short to ground or open circuit in the circuits between the following connectivity master unit (CMU) and telematics communication unit
- Power supply circuit
- Signal circuit
- Malfunction in shield wire of circuits between connectivity master unit (CMU) and telematics communication unit
- Telematics communication unit malfunction
- Connectivity master unit (CMU) malfunction
