DTC U0187:00 (CONNECTIVITY MASTER UNIT) DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

| Detection condition |
- The connectivity master unit (CMU) detects a communication interruption or communication error with the DVD/CD player for 11 s.

| Fail-safe |
Try to reestablish communication a specified number of times. |
| Possible cause |
- DVD/CD player connector or terminal malfunction
- Short to ground or open circuit in DVD/CD player power supply circuit (B+)
- Open circuit in DVD/CD player ground circuit
- Short to ground or open circuit in DVD/CD player power supply circuit (ACC)
- Connectivity master unit (CMU) connector or terminal malfunction
- Short to power supply, short to ground or open circuit in the USB circuits between the following connectivity master unit (CMU) and DVD/CD player
- Power supply circuit (USB)
- Signal circuit
- Malfunction in shield wire of USB circuits between connectivity master unit (CMU) and DVD/CD player
- DVD/CD player malfunction
- Connectivity master unit (CMU) malfunction
