Assist Handle Removal/Installation: Removal

- Insert a tape-wrapped flathead screwdriver into the service hole and remove the assist handle covers.

- Pull the assist handle in the order of arrows (1) and (2) shown in the illustration and remove it while detaching the clips.

NOTE:
- Remove the assist handle by shaking it up and down.
