WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2020 Mazda CX-30. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
WARNING:
  • Whenever drilling into a front shock absorber, always wear protective eye wear as the gas in the shock absorber is pressurized and could spray metal filings into the eyes.
  1. Set the front shock absorber horizontally or with the piston pointed downward.
  2. Drill a 2-3 mm {0.08-0.11 in} hole at point A shown in the illustration and exhaust the gas.
