DTC P0616-29: Downstream Side Of Starter Relay Signal Malfunction (BCM): Outline

DTC P0616:29 (BCM) DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

System malfunction location Downstream side of starter relay signal malfunction
Detection condition
  • The body control module (BCM) detects that the following signals are unmatched for a continuous 5 times.
  • Transaxle range sensor (ATX) or starter interlock switch (MTX) condition
  • Starter relay downstream circuit condition
  • PCM control result
    • CAN signal condition output from PCM
Fail-safe Not applicable
Possible cause
  • DTCs are stored in the PCM.
  • PCM malfunction
  • Body control module (BCM) malfunction
