2019-2021 Mazda3 (Mexico built) with VINS lower than 3MZBP*******201892 (produced before August 11, 2020)

2020-2021 CX-30 with VINS lower than 3MVDM*******207649 (produced before August 11, 2020)

DESCRIPTION

Some customers may experience the master warning light and/or the "In-Vehicle Network Malfunction" warning message in the instrument cluster on with DTC B119F:01, B119F:13 and/or B119F:2B stored when the vehicle position cannot be displayed correctly.

This concern may be caused by incoming noise disturbing the reception of GPS signals, resulting in the wrong vehicle location and the DTC stored. To eliminate this concern, the GPS antenna has been modified.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

  1. Verify customer concern.
  2. Confirm if the telephone antenna No. 1's lot number is before 0C230003. The lot number is in YMDDnnnn format.
    NOTE: The part number has not been changed for this modification.

    Example:

    0C230003: 0→2020 (year), C → March, 23→23th (day), 0003→serial number for the day

    9H161360: 9→2019 (year), H → August, 16→16th (day), 1360→serial number for the day

    • If the lot number is 0C230003 or later, the part is a already modified.
    • If the lot number is before 0C230003, replace the GPS antenna with a modified one by referring to the instructions on MGSS.

      • CX-30: (GLOBAL POSITIONING SYSTEM (GPS) ANTENNA REMOVAL/INSTALLATION)
  3. Verify repair.
