Wiper And Washer Switch Removal/Installation (Us)

  1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION (US) .)
  2. Remove the following parts:
    1. Driver-side air bag module (See DRIVER-SIDE AIR BAG MODULE REMOVAL [TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM - US/CANADA SPEC.] .)
    2. Steering wheel (See STEERING WHEEL AND COLUMN REMOVAL/INSTALLATION (US) .)
    3. Column cover (See COLUMN COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    4. Clock spring (See CLOCK SPRING REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM - US/CANADA SPEC.] .)
  3. Disconnect the connector.

  4. While pressing the wiper and washer switch tab in the direction of arrow (1) shown in the figure, pull out the wiper and washer switch in the direction of arrow (2) shown in the figure, and detach the wiper and washer switch tab from the light switch.

  5. Remove the wiper and washer switch.
  6. Install in the reverse order of removal.
