Diagnostic Procedure

I-ACTIVSENSE STATUS SYMBOL TURNS ON IN WHITE OR GREEN BUT LANE-KEEP ASSIST SYSTEM DOES NOT OPERATE DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE

Step Inspection Results Action
1 VERIFY ALL SYSTEM DTCs
  • Perform the DTC inspection. (See DTC INSPECTION .)
  • Are any DTCs displayed?
Yes Repair the malfunctioning location according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting.
No Go to the next step.
2 VERIFY MALFUNCTION SYMPTOM
  • Does the applicable malfunction occur only at nighttime?
Yes Go to the next step.
No Go to Step 4.
3 VERIFY FRONT COMBINATION LIGHT CONDITION
  • Visually verify the applicable part.
  • Do any of the following apply?
    • Front combination light malfunction
    • Front combination light optical axis deviation
      • Dirt on area around front combination light
Yes Repair or replace the malfunctioning location and perform the repair completion verification.
(See FRONT COMBINATION LIGHT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
No Go to the next step.
4 VERIFY CONDITION AROUND FORWARD SENSING CAMERA (FSC)
  • Visually verify the applicable part.
  • Are there any water droplets, condensation, or dirt?
Yes Repair or replace the malfunctioning location and perform the repair completion verification.
No Go to the next step.
5 VERIFY PERSONALIZATION FEATURES SETTING
  • Verify the lane-keep assist system status using the personalization features.
  • Has the lane-keep assist system been turned off?
Yes Complete the symptom troubleshooting. (Explain the system operation conditions to the customer.)
No Go to the next step.
Repair completion verification VERIFY THAT VEHICLE IS REPAIRED
  • Install/connect the part removed/disconnected during the troubleshooting procedure.
  • Has the malfunction symptom been eliminated?
Yes Complete the symptom troubleshooting. (Explain contents of repair to customer)
No Refer to the controller area network (CAN) malfunction diagnosis flow to inspect for a CAN communication error. (See CONTROLLER AREA NETWORK (CAN) MALFUNCTION DIAGNOSIS FLOW (US) .)
If the CAN communication is normal, perform the diagnosis from Step 1.
