Cowl Grille Removal/Installation

  1. Remove the windshield wiper arm and blade. (See WINDSHIELD WIPER ARM AND BLADE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  2. Disconnect the joint pipe A of the windshield washer hose. (See WINDSHIELD WASHER HOSE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [(US)] .)
  3. Remove the clips.

  4. Remove clips A and B. (when removing the weatherstrip)

  5. Remove the weatherstrip. (when removing the weatherstrip)
  6. Remove the fasteners.

  7. Detach the pins.
  8. Pull the cowl grille in the direction of the arrow in the order of (1), (2), (3), (4), (5) and remove it while detaching the tabs.

  9. When removing the side cowl grille, perform the following procedure:
    1. Remove the windshield wiper de-icer wiring harness from the hooks. (with windshield wiper deicer)

    2. Pull the tabs A and B in the direction of the arrow shown in the illustration and detach the tabs A and B from the dashboard upper panel.

    3. Remove the side cowl grille in the direction of the arrow shown in the illustration while detaching the clip from the dashboard upper panel.

    4. Pull the side cowl grille in the direction of the arrow shown in the illustration while pulling out the pin.

  10. Remove the side cowl grille.
  11. Install the removed clip to the side cowl grille.
  12. Install in the reverse order of removal.
