Front Bumper Installation

  1. Install the clips.

  2. Connect the connectors.
  3. Move the front bumper in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure and insert the guides to the shroud panel.

  4. Press in the front bumper in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure and install the guides to the shroud panel.

  5. Install the front bumper in the order of arrows shown in the figure.

  6. Install the fasteners.

  7. Temporarily tighten the screws.

  8. Adjust the front bumper position so that the clearance between the front bumper and the hood is within the specification.

    Standard clearance 

    1. 2.2-5.8 mm {0.09-0.22 in}
    2. 1.7-5.3 mm {0.07-0.20 in}
    3. 2.2-5.8 mm {0.09-0.22 in}
  9. Completely tighten the screws tightened temporarily in Step 8.

  10. Verify that the gap between the front bumper and the hood is within the specification.

    Standard clearance 

    1. 2.2-5.8 mm {0.09-0.22 in}
    2. 1.7-5.3 mm {0.07-0.20 in}
    3. 2.2-5.8 mm {0.09-0.22 in}
      • If not within the specification, repeat from Step  8 to Step  11 until the clearance between the front bumper and the hood is within the specification.
  11. Install the bolts.

  12. Install the screws and fasteners which can be verified at the position where front under cover No. 1 was pulled back.

  13. Move the front under cover No. 1 guide in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure and insert it into the inner side of the front bumper.

  14. Install the fasteners and screws.

  15. Slightly bend back the front over fender and install the bolts.

  16. Install the fasteners.

  17. Install the screws.

  18. Install the front over fender to the front bumper.

  19. install the fasteners.

  20. Connect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
