DTC P050A:00 PCM (SKYACTIV-G 2.5 - WITH CYLINDER DEACTIVATION) DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

DESCRIPTION COLD START IAC SYSTEM PERFORMANCE PROBLEM
DETECTION CONDITION Determination conditions
  • The difference between the actual engine speed and the target engine speed is 100 RPM or more.
Preconditions
  • Engine speed: 500 RPM or more *1
  • Engine coolant temperature: -10-45 °C {14-113 °F} *1
  • Catalytic converter estimated temperature: 380 °C {716 °F} or less *1
  • Vehicle speed: 0 km/h {0 mph} *1
  • The following DTCs are not detected:
    • ECT sensor malfunction: P0116:00, P0117:00, P0118:00
    • MAP sensor malfunction: P0069:00, P0107:00, P0108:00
    • BARO sensor malfunction: P2226:00, P2228:00, P2229:00
    • Instrument cluster malfunction: P2610:00
*1: Value can be verified by displaying PIDs using M-MDS

POSSIBLE CAUSE
  • Air suction in intake air system
  • Drive-by-wire control system malfunction
  • Throttle valve malfunction
  • PCM malfunction
