Diagnostic procedure

MRCC WARNING LIGHT (AMBER) DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE

Step Inspection Action
1 INSPECT INSTRUMENT CLUSTER Yes Go to the next step.
No Replace the instrument cluster.
(See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
2 VERIFY INSTRUMENT CLUSTER CONNECTOR CONDITION
  • Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
  • Disconnect the instrument cluster connector.
  • Inspect the connector engagement and connection condition and inspect the terminals for damage, deformation, corrosion, or disconnection.
  • Is the connector normal?
Yes Go to the next step.
No Repair or replace the connector.
3 VERIFY RADAR UNIT CONNECTOR CONDITION
  • Disconnect the radar unit connector.
  • Inspect the connector engagement and connection condition and inspect the terminals for damage, deformation, corrosion, or disconnection.
  • Is the connector normal?
Yes Go to the next step.
No Repair or replace the connector.
4 INSPECT RADAR UNIT Yes Symptom troubleshooting is completed.
No Replace the radar unit.
