Without Steering Warmer System
WARNING:
- Handling the driver-side air bag module improperly can accidentally deploy the air bag module, which may seriously injure you. - Disconnect the negative battery terminal and wait for 1 min or more. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
- Remove the driver-side air bag module. (See DRIVER-SIDE AIR BAG MODULE REMOVAL [STANDARD DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM - MEXICO SPEC.] .) - Remove the steering switch. (See STEERING SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove the steering wheel bezel. (See STEERING WHEEL BEZEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove the steering wheel. (See STEERING WHEEL AND COLUMN REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- While pressing tabs A in the directions of arrows (1) shown in the figure, press the steering wheel cover in the direction of arrow (2) to detach tabs A from the steering wheel.
- While pressing tabs B and C in the directions of arrows (3) and (4) shown in the figure, press the steering wheel cover in the direction of arrow (2) to detach tabs B and C, and pins A from the steering wheel.
- Remove the steering wheel cover from the steering wheel while pulling pins B out.
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
