Rear Center Seat Belt Removal/Installation: Notes

CAUTION:
  • The ELR (emergency locking retractor) has a spring that will unwind if the retractor cover is removed. The spring cannot be rewound by hand. If this occurs, the ELR will not work properly. Therefore, do not disassemble the retractor.
NOTE:
  • The rear center seat belt is building into the rear seat back.
  1. Press the release switch, then disconnect the rear center seat belt and rear buckle.

  2. Remove the rear seat back. (See REAR SEAT BACK REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  3. Remove the rear seat back frame. (See REAR SEAT BACK FRAME REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  4. Remove the nuts as shown in the figure.

  5. Remove the rear center seat belt.
  6. Install in the reverse order of removal. (See REAR CENTER SEAT BELT INSTALLATION NOTE .)
