Front Seat Cushion Trim Removal/Installation: Removal

Switch the ignition off (LOCK).
Disconnect the negative battery cable and wait for 1 min or more . (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
Remove the headrest.
Remove the front seat. (See FRONT SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
Remove the front seat side cover. (See FRONT SEAT SIDE COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
Remove the fasteners and set the front seat cushion trim away from the front seat cushion frame. (With power seat system/with position memory system)

Move the hook in the order of arrows (1) and (2) shown in the figure and set the front seat cushion trim away from the front seat cushion frame. (Without power seat system/without position memory system)
Disconnect the connectors shown in the figure.

Move the front seat cushion trim in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure and set the front seat cushion trim away from the front seat cushion frame.

Move the hook in the order of arrows (1) and (2) shown in the figure and set the front seat cushion trim away from the front seat cushion frame.

Follow the procedure for each type and set the front seat cushion trim away from the front seat cushion frame.
NOTE:
- There are two types of hooks on the front side of the front seat cushion trim, A and B types. The hook removal procedure differs depending on the type.

  A type
  - Move the hook in the order of arrows (1) and (2) shown in the figure and set the front seat cushion trim away from the front seat cushion frame.

  - Remove the hooks shown in the figure from the front seat cushion frame.

    B type
  - Move the hook in the order of arrows (1) and (2) shown in the figure and set the front seat cushion trim away from the front seat cushion frame.

Follow the procedure for each type and remove the front seat cushion trim from the front seat cushion pad.
CAUTION:
- If a C-ring is damaged while removing or installing the front seat cushion trim and front seat cushion pad, it may not be possible to install the front seat cushion trim and front seat cushion pad normally. When removing or installing the front seat cushion trim and front seat cushion pad, be careful not to damage the C-rings.
- If a C-ring is damaged, replace it with a new one.
  A type
  - Remove C-rings in the order of (1), (2), (3), (4), and (5) shown in the figure, and remove the front seat cushion trim from the front seat cushion pad.

    B type
  - Remove C-rings in the order of (1), (2), (3), (4), and (5) shown in the figure, and remove the front seat cushion trim from the front seat cushion pad.

    C type
  - Remove C-rings in the order of (1), (2), (3), and (4) shown in the figure, and remove the front seat cushion trim from the front seat cushion pad.
