Front Seat Cushion Trim Removal/Installation: Installation

  1. Verify that the wires shown in the figure are not deformed and that they are installed to the front seat cushion trim. (With 8-way power seat system)
    CAUTION:
    • When installing the front seat cushion, be careful not to deform the wires. Otherwise, the outline of a wire may appear on the surface.

    • If a wire is deformed, remove it from the front seat cushion trim, repair the wire, and install it to the front seat cushion trim.
  2. Follow the procedure for each type and install the front seat cushion trim to the front seat cushion pad.
    CAUTION:
    • If a C-ring is damaged while removing or installing the front seat cushion trim and front seat cushion pad, it may not be possible to install the front seat cushion trim and front seat cushion pad normally. When removing or installing the front seat cushion trim and front seat cushion pad, be careful not to damage the C-rings.
    • If a C-ring is damaged, replace it with a new one.
    NOTE:
    • Wrinkling can be easily prevented by installing the C-rings with a certain amount of tightening.

      A type 

      • Align the front seat cushion trim with the installation hole of the front seat cushion pad, and install the C-rings in the order of (1), (2), (3), (4), and (5) shown in the figure.

        B type 

      • Align the front seat cushion trim with the installation hole of the front seat cushion pad, and install the C-rings in the order of (1), (2), (3), (4), and (5) shown in the figure.
    CAUTION:
    • When installing the C-rings, be careful not to deform the wires. When installing C-rings (1), and (2) shown in the figure, the wires can be easily deformed. (With 8-way power seat system)

      C type 

      • Align the front seat cushion trim with the installation hole of the front seat cushion pad, and install the C-rings in the order of (1), (2), (3), and (4) shown in the figure.

  3. Press the front seat cushion pad inward while pulling the front seat cushion trim outward.

  4. Follow the procedure for each type and install the front seat cushion trim to the front seat cushion frame.
    NOTE:
    • There are two types of hooks on the front side of the front seat cushion trim, A and B types. The hook installation procedure differs depending on the type.

      A type 

      • Install the hooks to the positions shown in the figure.

      • Move the hook in the order of arrows (1) and (2) shown in the figure and install the front seat cushion trim to the front seat cushion frame.

        B type 

      • Move the hook in the order of arrows (1) and (2) shown in the figure and install the front seat cushion trim to the front seat cushion frame.

  5. Move the front seat cushion trim in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure and install the front seat cushion trim to the front seat cushion frame.

  6. Align the front seat cushion trim with the shape of the front seat cushion pad while pressing the front seat cushion pad outward.

  7. Pull the front seat cushion trim in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure and remove the wrinkles on the front seat cushion trim.

  8. Move the hook in the order of arrows (1) and (2) shown in the figure and install the front seat cushion trim to the front seat cushion frame.

  9. Pull the front seat cushion trim in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure and remove the wrinkles on the front seat cushion trim.

  10. Install the fasteners and install the front seat cushion trim to the front seat cushion frame. (With power seat system/with position memory system)

  11. Move the hook in the order of arrows (1) and (2) shown in the figure and install the front seat cushion trim to the front seat cushion frame. (Without power seat system/without position memory system)
  12. Connect the connectors shown in the figure.

  13. Install the front seat side cover. (See FRONT SEAT SIDE COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  14. Install the front seat. (See FRONT SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  15. Install the headrest.
  16. Connect the negative battery cable and wait for 1 min or more  . (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
  17. When the passenger's seat is removed, perform the DTC inspection for the SAS control module using the M-MDS and verify that no DTCs are displayed. (See DTC INSPECTION [TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM] .)
    NOTE:
  18. When the passenger's seat is replaced with a new one, perform the occupant classification sensor calibration using the M-MDS. (See OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION SENSOR CALIBRATION [TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM] .)
