Front Seat Back Component Removal/Installation: Passenger-Side

  1. Switch the ignition off (LOCK).
  2. Disconnect the negative battery cable and wait for 1 min or more. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
  3. Remove the front seat. (See FRONT SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  4. Remove the front seat side cover. (See FRONT SEAT SIDE COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  5. Remove the fasteners. (With power seat system)

  6. Remove the front seat cushion trim. (With power seat system)
  7. Slide the hook in the order of arrows (1), (2), (3) shown in the figure and remove the front seat cushion trim. (Without power seat system)
  8. Remove the side air bag module connector from the junction connector box.

  9. Detach the clip.
  10. Disconnect the front seat back warmer connector. (With seat warmer system)
  11. Disconnect the recliner motor connector. (With power seat system)
  12. Remove the bolts, then remove the front seat back component.

  13. Install in the reverse order of removal.
  14. When the passenger's seat is removed, perform the DTC inspection for the SAS control module using the M-MDS and verify that no DTCs are displayed. (See DTC INSPECTION [TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM] .)
    NOTE:
  15. When the passenger's seat is replaced with a new one, perform the occupant classification sensor calibration using the M-MDS. (See OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION SENSOR CALIBRATION [TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM] .)
