Front Seat Back Component Removal/Installation: Passenger-Side

- Switch the ignition off (LOCK).
- Disconnect the negative battery cable and wait for 1 min or more. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
- Remove the front seat. (See FRONT SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove the front seat side cover. (See FRONT SEAT SIDE COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove the fasteners. (With power seat system)
- Remove the front seat cushion trim. (With power seat system)
- Slide the hook in the order of arrows (1), (2), (3) shown in the figure and remove the front seat cushion trim. (Without power seat system)
- Remove the side air bag module connector from the junction connector box.
- Detach the clip.
- Disconnect the front seat back warmer connector. (With seat warmer system)
- Disconnect the recliner motor connector. (With power seat system)
- Remove the bolts, then remove the front seat back component.
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
- When the passenger's seat is removed, perform the DTC inspection for the SAS control module using the M-MDS and verify that no DTCs are displayed. (See DTC INSPECTION [TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM]

- If any DTCs are displayed, perform malfunction repair referring to the applicable DTC troubleshooting. (See DTC TABLE [TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM] .)
- When the passenger's seat is replaced with a new one, perform the occupant classification sensor calibration using the M-MDS. (See OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION SENSOR CALIBRATION [TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM] .)
