- Control is maintained in the backup control (if EPS system internal temperature increases, the assist force gradually weakens)
- Power steering malfunction indicator light: Flashes (0.5 Hz)
- Power steering warning buzzer: sounds intermittently (0.5 Hz)
- If EPS system internal temperature increases above the specified value, the flashing interval for the power steering malfunction indicator light and the power steering warning buzzer sound interval are shortened (from 0.5 Hz
to 2.0 Hz
)
- If EPS system internal temperature increases further, the power steering malfunction indicator light switches from flashing to illumination and the power steering warning buzzer sounds continuously
- If EPS system overheating continues, the EPC CM disables assistance and stops the power steering warning buzzer (the power steering malfunction indicator light remains illuminated)
