Idle Mixture Inspection

- Verify that the idle speed and ignition timing are within the specification. (See IDLE SPEED INSPECTION .) (See IGNITION TIMING INSPECTION .)
- Insert an exhaust gas analyzer into the tailpipe.
- Verify that the CO and HC concentrations are within regulation.
- If there is a malfunction, refer to "ENGINE SYMPTOM TROUBLESHOOTING". (See SYMPTOM DIAGNOSTIC INDEX

- If no malfunction is detected, replace the catalytic converter. (See EXHAUST SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
