DETECTION CONDITION & POSSIBLE CAUSE

| Detection condition |
- The radar unit detects that the brake switch signal and the brake light on/off are incompatible.

| Fail-safe |
- Inhibits the mazda radar cruise control (MRCC) system control
- Inhibits the smart brake support (SBS) system control
- Inhibits the distance recognition support system (DRSS) control

| Possible cause |
- Brake switch malfunction
- DTCs are stored in the rear body control module (RBCM).
- Brake light unit malfunction
- Rear body control module (RBCM) malfunction
- DTCs are stored in the instrument cluster.
- Radar unit malfunction
