DTC B1D19-98; ABNORMAL CD PLAYER TEMPERATURe

DETECTION CONDITION & POSSIBLE CAUSE

Description  
Detection condition
  • With the ignition switched ON (engine off or on), the connectivity master unit (CMU) detects an abnormally high temperature condition in the CD player.
Fail-safe function CD playback stopped.
Possible cause
CAUTION:
  • If the CD player is used for long periods in a hot environment, the temperature of the CD player will increase and a DTC may be output. The CD player should not be used continuously for long periods with the cabin under high temperature conditions from being left under direct sunlight.
  • Temperature increase due to continuous use for long periods.
  • CD player malfunction

DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE

Step Inspection Action
1 VERIFY IF CD PLAYER TEMPERATURE WAS TEMPORARILY HIGH Yes Leave the vehicle in a cool location for 30 min or more, then go to the next step.
No Go to Step 3.
2 VERIFY THAT REPAIRS HAVE BEEN COMPLETED Yes Replace the CD player, then go to the next step.

No Go to the next step.
3 VERIFY OTHER DTCs
  • Are any other DTCs displayed?
Yes Repair the malfunctioning location according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting.

No DTC troubleshooting completed.
