DTC B1D19-79; Cd Player Disc Read Error

DETECTION CONDITION & POSSIBLE CAUSE

Description	CD player disc read error
Detection condition	With the ignition switched ON (engine off or on), the connectivity master unit (CMU) detects a disc read error.
Fail-safe function	Eject a disc.
Possible cause	CAUTION: An unexpected load is applied to the CD player causing the output of a DTC due to the way the user uses the CD player, such as intentionally holding onto a disc when inserting it. The orientation of the disc should be checked before inserting it and it should be released from the fingers as soon as the disc begins to be read. Use of incompatible disc CD player internal malfunction

DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE

Step	Inspection		Action
1	INSPECT CD PLAYER Clear the DTC for the connectivity master unit (CMU) using the M-MDS. (See CLEARING DTC [CONNECTIVITY MASTER UNIT] .) Perform diagnostic assist code "01" CD player inspection. (See DIAGNOSTIC ASSIST FUNCTION [CONNECTIVITY MASTER UNIT] .) Perform the DTC inspection for the connectivity master unit (CMU) using the M-MDS. (See DTC INSPECTION [CONNECTIVITY MASTER UNIT] .) Is the same DTC displayed?	Yes	Replace the CD player, then go to the next step. (See CD PLAYER REMOVAL .) (See CD PLAYER INSTALLATION .)
1		No	Go to the next step.
2	VERIFY OTHER DTCs Are any other DTCs displayed?	Yes	Repair the malfunctioning location according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting. (See DTC TABLE [CONNECTIVITY MASTER UNIT] .)
2	VERIFY OTHER DTCs Are any other DTCs displayed?	No	DTC troubleshooting completed.
