Tie-rod End Assembly Note

  1. Align the alignment marks made before removal and assemble the tie-rod end to the tie rod.

    NOTE:
    • When newly replacing a tie-rod end, place alignment marks on the new part in the same position as the remove tie-rod end.

    • "R" is inscribed on the right side of the tie-rod end and "L" is inscribed on the left side of the tie-rod end. Verify if the part is for the left or right side before installation because the left and right parts of the tie-rod end have different shapes.

    • If there are no alignment marks, go to the next step.
  2. Adjust dimension A shown in the figure to the standard, then assemble the tie-rod end.

    Standard 

    8.4-21.4 mm {0.34-0.84 in}
