DTC P0C39; Capacitor Temperature Sensor System Malfunction (I-ELOOP): Notes

DETECTION CONDITION & POSSIBLE CAUSE

DTC P0C39:00 Capacitor (i-ELOOP) temperature sensor system: function/circuit malfunction
DETECTION CONDITION
  • Any one of the following conditions is met:
    • A condition in which the capacitor (i-ELOOP) temperature sensor voltage is less than 0.05 V (less than -50 °C {-58 °F}) continues for 1 s.
      • A condition in which the capacitor (i-ELOOP) temperature sensor voltage is 4.95 V or more (90 °C {194 °F} or more) continues for 1 s.
FAIL-SAFE FUNCTION
  • Not applicable
POSSIBLE CAUSE
  • Capacitor (i-ELOOP) connector or terminals malfunction
  • DC-DC converter connector or terminals malfunction
  • Short to ground in wiring harness between capacitor (i-ELOOP) terminal 1A and DC-DC converter terminal 1E
  • Short to power supply in wiring harness between capacitor (i-ELOOP) terminal 1A and DC-DC converter terminal 1E
  • Capacitor (i-ELOOP) temperature sensor signal circuit and ground circuit are shorted to each other
  • Open circuit in wiring harness between the following terminals:
    • Capacitor (i-ELOOP) terminal 1A-DC-DC converter terminal 1E
      • Capacitor (i-ELOOP) terminal 1B-DC-DC converter terminal 1D
  • Capacitor (i-ELOOP) temperature sensor malfunction
  • DC-DC converter malfunction
