Front Seat Removal/Installation

CAUTION:
  • After the front seat has been removed, if the slider lever is operated and the front seat is reinstalled with the left/right slide positions deviated, the adjuster unit could be damaged. After removing a front seat, do not operate the slider lever. (With manual seat)

NOTE:
  • When removing the front seat from the vehicle or putting it back in, it can be performed smoothly by removing the head restraint.
  1. Slide the front seat to the positions where the bolts shown in the figure can be removed.

  2. Remove the bolts in the order of (1), (2) shown in the figure.
  3. Slide the front seat to the positions where the bolts shown in the figure can be removed.

  4. Remove the bolts in the order of (3), (4) shown in the figure.
  5. Switch the ignition off.
  6. Disconnect the negative battery cable and wait for 1 min or more. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
  7. While pressing area A of the connector in the direction of arrow (1) shown in the figure, move the lever in the direction of arrow (2) and detach the tabs.

  8. Disconnect the connectors in the direction of arrow (3) shown in the figure.
  9. Remove the front seat.
  10. Install in the reverse order of removal.
