Cooling Fan Motor Inspection

Part Inspection 

  1. Verify that the battery is fully charged. (See BATTERY INSPECTION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5] .)
  2. Disconnect the cooling fan motor connector (2 terminals).
  3. Install a tester and battery to the cooling fan motor connector (2 terminals) as shown in the figure.

  4. Verify that each cooling fan motor operates smoothly at the standard current.
    • If there is any malfunction, replace the applicable part.

      Cooling fan motor standard current [World manufacturer identification "JM1"] 

      No. 1:  4.3-8.3 A [12 V]

      No. 2:  4.1-8.1 A [12 V]

      Cooling fan motor standard current [World manufacturer identification "3MZ"] 

      No. 1:  3.3-7.3 A [12 V]

      No. 2:  7.8-11.8 A [12 V]
